Actually, I really like the photos of the rat trails in the snow, too. Something about them made me smile - maybe it's knowing that no matter what happens, nature persists.
....and as to the trails ,its just so true that rats have to eat too , they have to get to those garbage cans even if they are the new "rat proof" ones .... and even in deep snow .

It sure does , especially if its got a twitching nose with whiskers and a long tail
